Flight Reviews

Overview

Flight review courses provide a method for pilots whose legal currency to operate may be expired, or those pilots who require refresher training to restore their skills to a point where they can safely enjoy the privileges of their pilot certificates. Pilot are strongly enouraged to schedule a flight review whenever needed.

Flight Reviews

Currently certificated pilots are required by FAA regulation to complete a flight review course at least once every 24 calendar months.

Flight reviews must consist of a minimum of 1 hour of ground training and 1 hour of flight training covering Part 91 operating rules and procedures and the flight maneuvers that are necessary for the person receiving the review to demonstrate that they can safely exercise the privileges of their pilot certificate.

This course can be completed in a single lesson, but some students may require additional training if their demonstrated knowledge, skill, and judgment is insufficient for safe flight operations.

Pilots receiving a Flight Review will be provided with a study guide and questions wiht much be answered prior to meeting with their assigned flight instructor.

Instrument Proficiency Checks

All Instrument rated pilots must complete the Instrument Proficiency Course when their instrument currency expires or the pilot lacks the proficinecy needed to safely exercise the privileges of an instrument rating.

In order to complete the course, the pilot receiving the check must demonstrate single-pilot competence in the following areas of operation:

This course can be completed in a single lesson, but some students may require additional training if their demonstrated knowledge, skill, and judgment is insufficient for safe flight operations.

Every student progresses through the course at their own rate of learning, so it is impossible to quote an exact cost of training to the student before beginning the course. The efficiency of a student's training is highly dependent on how they learn and the amount of effort that is devoted to their education.

Our flight instruction is finely tailored to each individual student to maximize the efficiency of their invested time and more importantly, their money. Students who complete our course tend to do so in less than the average time.
