Leasing Opportunities

Infiniti Aviation is looking for partners.

Leasing your airplane to a flight school can be a great way to reduce the overall cost of ownership and maintenance, and make some extra money too. When you lease your airplane to Infiniti Aviation, we use it to train the next generation of professional pilots. As compensation, you will receive a monthly lease payment which includes a percentage of the hourly rate paid by our students. Infiniti Aviation retains a percentage of the hourly rate as a "management fee".

Infiniti Aviation professionally maintains all aircraft in our fleet to meet or exceed FAA and manufacturer's standards and recommendations. All aircraft in the fleet receive regular inspections every 100 flight hours and our team of maintenance professionals ensures that every aspect of your aircraft is cared for, including airworthiness directives and service bulletins, routine wear and tear, oil changes, brakes and tires, and more.

We will work with you to develop a personalized operating plan for your airplane which will be operated in accordance with all FAA regulations, manufacturer recommendations and limitations, insurance requirements, Infiniti Aviation policies and procedures, and any limitations that you as the owner specify.

What Aircraft Is Infiniti Aviation Interested In?

Infiniti Aviation will consider all "light" General Aviation aircraft that are certified in the Airplane category and Land class, both single and multi-engine types. Prospective aircraft that meet the following criteria are of most interest:

The following are considered examples of the types that are ideal training airplanes:

Single Engine

Multi-Engine

Due to training limitations and practicality, Infiniti Aviation is not seeking leases on any "Light Sport Airplanes" at this time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the term length for a leaseback agreement?

A: There is no specific term length or end dates for leaseback agreements. The terms of an individual lease agreement can be customized as needed. Once established, an existing lease agreement may be terminated by either party with 90 days advanced notice.

Q: As the owner, I want to be able to fly my plane. Will I have access to my airplane?

A: Of course! Reservations are made online through FlightCircle, our online scheduling provider and is accessed via the reservation portal on our website. However, because the aircraft are primarily reserved for flight training, you will be limited to scheduling your airplane during open blocks of time and you will not be authorized to displace an existing reservation for pilot training. If you need your aircraft for personal use for an extended period of time, please contact Infiniti Aviation to discuss your options.

When you fly the airplane as the owner, you will only pay the hourly operating costs, or the "Owner Rate", not the regular rental rate paid by our customers.

Q: Will I make money leasing my airplane to Infiniti Aviation?

A: The potential for revenue that may be generated by a leaseback agreement depends on the following factors:

We will evaluate your aircraft's operating specifications and determine an hourly operating cost, based upon the number of hours we expect it to fly each month. This cost will include all operating expenses, from monthly payments, storage, insurance, all maintenance reserves, and fuel. Understanding the operating costs will help you determine if it is worth your investment and establishes a hourly rental rate that is paid for by our customers.

Owners should remember that an aircraft leaseback is considered an investment and involves certain risks that cannot be controlled and positive cashflow, while anticipated, cannot guaranteed. Infiniti Aviation does not warrant any positive return on your investment. Negative returns are possible, though not expected.

Q: How is the hourly rental rate determined?

A: We will establish an hourly operating cost for your aircraft and suggest an hourly rental rate, which is subject to your final approval. You may elect to increase or decrease the rental rate (once per 90 calendar days) but please understand that a decision to increase the rate for your aircraft may lead to a decline in the usage rate and may price the airplane out of the renting market, thereby reducing your opportunity to earn money. We will be happy to discuss pricing plans and usage rates for your aircraft and provide our professional recommendations for your consideration.

Q: When will I be paid for the revenue earned from my leaseback agreement?

A: Infiniti Aviation will issue a check or electronic wire transfer to you on the 5th day of each month for the previous month's earnings for your airplane. You will always be provided with a detailed statement outlining all activity associated with your plane for the payment month.

Q: Are there any tax benefits associated to a leaseback agreement?

A: Income taxes are complicated and depend on many factors that are not associated with Infiniti Aviation or our flight operations. In general though, if you are willing to depreciate the value of your aircraft on your income taxes, you can receive a greater financial benefit with a leaseback agreement.

Infiniti Aviation does not provide tax advice or guidance and does not guarantee that you will receive any tax deduction or tax savings by entering into a leaseback agreement with us. We strongly suggest that you consult with your income tax preparer, a qualified financial advisor or accountant for accurate information related to income tax questions.

Q: Does Infiniti Aviation insure my airplane against damage or loss?

A: Before your airplane can be placed into revenue service, it must be covered by a commercial insurance policy covering flight instruction and rental, with a minimum liability coverage of $1 million USD. Infiniti Aviation can purchase an insurance policy with the appropriate coverages and the amount will be deducted from your monthly payout. The cost of the insurance policy is factored into the hourly operating cost of your aircraft. Alternatively, you may purchase you own commercial insurance policy. Please contact us directly for information about insurance coverage requirements.

Q: I do not want my airplane treated like a rental car. How will my airplane be treated while in use by Infiniti Aviation?

A: We do not want the airplanes in our fleet that we own to be abused either. To promote responsible operation of assets, Infiniti Aviation has developed strict operating rules, policies, and procedures for all aircraft in our fleet.

Our Flight Operations Manual, which enhances the safety of our flight operations, prescribes the manner which flights operate, and is generally more restrictive than current FAA regulations. All pilots must strictly adhere to all school policies and Federal regulations. All pilots must complete a thorough checkout with a qualified flight instructor before being authorized to fly any airplane in our fleet unsupervised. If you do not want your airplane flown without a qualified flight instructor on board, be sure to let us know and we can discuss that with you.

Pilots are also responsible for reporting anything that is irregular with the operation of the airplane at the conclusion of each flight, where it is evaluated for further action. When needed, the aircraft is promptly removed from service and repaired by a team of qualified maintenance professionals with years of experience maintaining general aviation aircraft and transport category passenger aircraft. Certain items may be safely deferred until the next regularly schedule maintenance inspection. As owner, you will be notified of any maintenance actions that are required to maintain your aircraft.

Infiniti Aviation will return the aircraft to you at the end of the lease term in the same condition as it was when delivered and put into service, with the exception of normal wear and tear.
