Infiniti Aviation is committed to your success throughout your flight training experience. As part of this mission, we want to make sure that our customers are able to have as much information as is needed for them to make important choices about their flight training. Paying for flight training is part of that and how you choose to fund your training largely determines how successful and efficient your training will be.
Generally, you have many options and each option has some attractive "pros", but also some unattractive "cons" that we really wish weren't there, but nothing comes without consequence.

Common Methods of Funding
Pay As You Go
When you pay as you go, you'll pay for each lesson as it is completed, generally out of your own pocket.
Advantages
Complete your training with no debt
Disadvantages
Course generally take longer to complete because of a lack of reliable and/or consistent funding
Because of the inconsistent funding and the cost of training, students often can only fly a few times each month
Infrequent lessons means that students learn slower
Slower learning requires additional "repeat" lessons to regain the lost proficiency
Repeated lessons increases the student's overall training cost and time to complete the course
Training delays, repeated lessons, and increased costs negatively affect student motivation and satisfaction, and lead to a high percentage of students choose to discontinue their training.
Students who choose this method to fund their flight training usually take twice as long to complete a course.
Finance Your Training
For eligible borrowers, financing options can be used to fund each course in its entirety.
Advantages
Complete your training quicker because each course is fully funded from the start, generally in less than half the time as those who pay for each lesson at a time
Fly more frequently because each course is fully funded from the start
Because of more frequent lessons, your training will be more efficient
Student learning is stronger with more efficient lessons
Student motivation remains high
Disadvantages
Students who are irresponsible with their money or have dangerous or reckless financial habits take out too much student loan debt, which must be repaid in its entirety
Students with poor credit ratings are required to have a co-signer or be subject to a significantly higher interest rate
Student loans are not generally dischargeable and must be repaid in their entirety.
Why Efficient Use of Your Time Is Important
For those students who are wanting to make a professional career in the aviation industry, particularly in the airlines, it is crucial to understand that time is everything. Time equals seniority, and seniority at an airline is everything, and drives all aspects that affect your quality of life such as:
Fleet availability
Crew base availability
Daily and monthly schedules
Captain upgrade eligibility
Travel benefits
Company financial bonuses
The more time that it takes to complete your training, the longer it will be until you have that first jet job, and you may even miss hiring opportunities completely.
Invest in You!
Unless you, or a family member who is willing to support your education have large sums of discrentionary money, most students struggle with funding their training simply because they are not willing to invest in themselves.
You should consider your education and trianing as an investment in yourself and your future. By pursuing higher education and/or technical skills for a career, that is essentially what you are doing, investing in your future to create opportunities that will have a direct and positive impact in your quality of life. However funding your investment can be difficult, especially if you are living on a fixed income.
Our Recommendations
It is a proven fact that financing your flight training is the fastest way to fund and complete your pilot certificates. When borrowing responsibly, you must limit your student loan debt to only what you needed to complete your flight training. Generally, you will not take out more than $75,000 to complete your flight training, including that Bachelor's Degree.
